Mistakes in skincare: Part 2
How many times have we heard about the importance of spending time on skincare? And it is not for less, because the skin is, nothing more and nothing less than, the largest organ of the body. To do this, we inform ourselves and look for products that we believe are suitable but that, sometimes, do not end up giving the results we expect.
Here is the second part of the most common mistakes ladies are often seen making when trying to take care of their skin.
Skip daily facial cleansing
One of the keys to removing dead cells, impurities, residues and traces of makeup and protecting the skin from external agents is daily facial cleansing. Therefore, it is important to follow a daily facial routine. If there are days that we skip it and other days that we don’t, the result, how could it be otherwise, will not be the same. Daily facial cleansing is closely related to consistency, as told in the previous part, so don’t let laziness get the better of you. The results speak for themselves.
Mix incompatible assets
It is very common that, every time a new miracle beauty ingredient appears, we consider the option of including it in our skincare routine.
A woman applies retinol to her face. And it is that, although retinol, glycolic acid or niacinamide are fantastic active ingredients, it is possible that your skin does not need their use and even less so if it is combined with certain ingredients that are already part of your routine.
Some ingredients should not be mixed, such as retinol and vitamin C, Vitamin C and AHA and Glycolic Acid and Retinol, among others.
Forget the neck and neckline
When we talk about skincare, it is very common for us to think directly about the skin of the face and forget about the skin of the neck and décolletage. But both the neck and the neckline must be taken care of, as they have fine and delicate skin and are, like the face, exposed to external agents. So don’t forget about them!
Excess skin cleansing
A woman washes her face with soap and water. We will always tell you: that your face does not need soap in the morning if you have cleaned it at night. Water or floral water if you like the aroma will suffice to cleanse your skin in the morning. So try not to abuse the soap.
A proper cleansing routine will consist of using a mild soap at night, a toner and a moisturising treatment. In the morning:water. If we wash our skin excessively we can cause dryness, cracking, the appearance of eczema and accentuate the signs of ageing.
Use the same treatments all year
If our skin is largely affected by climatic factors, why are we going to give it the same care all year round? In summer we will need products with sun protection in the same way as in winter we will use moisturisers with sun protection that regenerate our skin after the cold and help balance it in the face of sudden temperature changes.
You must take into account what your skin asks of you at all times and do not be stubborn about always using the same thing, you may not need it or it may not be the most appropriate.
